My lovely best friend and I ventured to the never-failing city of San Francisco. We are spoiled to be living just a short hour train ride away, and I am spoiled to have a best friend to enjoy such a glorious city with. We both hold San Francisco very dear to our hearts. My father lived here for several years when he initially immigrated to the states, so I hold tight to many fond memories of my old man showing me where he lived and where he bought his produce. Natasha spent this past summer interning here. Naturally we needed to make an adventurous day trip.
Let me walk you through our festivities. We started off at the train, one hour well spent laughing about boys and catching up. Then another 40 mins on Muni to Golden Gate park. As cliche as it may sound, we took a romantic bike ride through the park. We rented our bike for only $5 an hour from Golden Gate Park Bike and Skate, so easy and quick to rent and return. I must admit, biking is essential to seeing the park. We covered so much we never could have imagined seeing if we went by foot. After this we explored the De Young museum’s observation deck and gift shop (we’ve both been to the actual museum several times). From the De Young we stopped for a quick late lunch (which we both regret our choices so I won’t waste any more time on that). I had some gift shopping I had to do after, which lead up to Union Square. Then finally we ended up walking all the way down Market to Embarcadero St. where we sat and laughed about boys (again) and life. I really hope you enjoy this post. As you can tell by the title, this particular day I wanted to be free from my 4 pound camera and simply enjoy my company. But that didn’t stop me from snapping away with my iPhone all day. All images were edited with VSCOcam. OH, last thing, I started a VSCO grid where you can follow and look at the pictures I’m taking and edit – find me here.
