Yes, my last post did feature my hands – and lucky for you, here they are again.
With the start of a new month today, March, I thought I’d start it with a challenge.
I woke up with a goal in mind: to give 13 hugs by the end of the day.
At a school event last year, a speaker told our student body that giving 13 hugs should be a goal everyday. I went home and looked into it, and to my surprise learned there has been lots of research done on the therapy of giving and receiving hugs. So many doctors recommend hugging regularly to ensure a happy state of mind. 12 are need for growth, and I threw in one more being the over achiever that I am, 13 will not longer a unlucky number! In taking the challenge I in turn hope to put a smile on others.
Each tally mark represents a person I hugged (in order); Hannah, Amy, Lyan, Nikitas, Sri, Arman, Liam, Elma, Matt, Jon, Srisruthi, & finally Zoe. As cliche as it may sound, I felt warm and fuzzy at the end of my day when I looked down at my hand. I told most everyone I hugged about my challenge, and each person seemed to grin ear to ear to be apart of it. Especially Zoe, she was very pleased to be the final hug of the day. I encourage you to love on those around you and hug, hug, hug away! ♥
