I kicked off the sweats and slipped into something a bit more summer friendly. Usually, I despise summer weather. I hate being sweaty and sticky, but I have to admit – the weather in California right now is to die for. Nice breeze all day, warm golden sun, lush green trees swaying side to side – I can’t be a hermit anymore! Today’s outfit is based all around the theme of confidence. As a fashion blogger for 1.5 years, sometimes I find myself questioning if I should wear certain things. What I choose to post is out there for anyone on the internet to see, which is sometimes nerve wrecking. It’s quite ironic, because I strive to run a blog that makes girls feel confident with who they are. The confidence built on an outfit you feel good in, is sometimes immeasurable. Basically what I’m trying to get at here is, wear what makes you truly happy and no one else. If you wanna wear something, go for it, do you!
On to the outfit. This skirt had to be one of my favorite summer trends. I love that there’s no flow and how it looks straight and restricted. You can read a post on that trend here I wrote. I’ll be honest and say this one of two crop tops I own. I find them hard to wear in a professional setting (work) and it bares too much skin for school. I really would only ever justify it at the beach. But this skirt comes just high enough, to where I don’t have that issue. And of course on my feet, I’m rocking white converse. The palette in this look calms me and I always feel myself in a pair of white converse. The jewelry is the same old stuff I always wear, but all the outfit details are down below.
And yes, I did listen to The Beatles- Here Comes the Sun while writing and editing this post! 🙂 Enjoy my loves!
