Me from this post.
Until about the 6th grade, I hated wearing sneakers with a passion. I hated being constricted, but really I just hated tieing my shoelaces early in the morning. This was until I bought my first pair of converse sneakers (pink low tops to be exact). The tables had turned. I wore those shoes so much that eventually my mom started throwing them away and I would go fetch them out of the trash bin every time (my first sign of clothing related separation anxiety). Also, if you don’t get my play on words (a terrible one that is), you may be too young (Freak-a-Leek).
We have all had a pair of sneakers we adore. Why do we adore them? It’s easy, c.o.m.f.o.r.t! No one can deny, they would rather be wearing trainers over 5in stilettos (even if they are red bottoms). So we must all come together and thank the fashion gods for bring trainers back in trend. They are hot. If you don’t believe me, look at any fashion blog, magazine, or even some hip street style in a poppin’ city. In case you are unaware of the trend, here’s what I mean…

So chic and so comfy, oh and don’t forget – trendy! I can’t say this style is at first glance – for everyone, but who would turn down trendy comfort? Especially when you can pick fun colors, styles, and even types of fabric. I think this trend should replace the Birkenstock (sorry not sorry, not a big fan). This is so much more versatile and you can wear it through almost all seasons (depending on where you live.) This is great for students because you can walk to class in comfort. And if you dress it up with a nicer blouse and handbag, this can even bleed into the workplace. I hope you can take inspiration from the images in the post to try this trend for yourself. The simplest way this trend would work is skinny jeans, your favorite tee, and a pair of trainers. Voila, you’re done! Below are a few pairs I have been eyeing, but my college budget has been reminding me that I can’t afford them.
I couldn’t find direct links to all the kicks in the collage above. But I do know that J.Crew is coming in full force this season with trainers/sneakers. Here are a few pairs I liked with direct links!

Oh, and just like my last #imlovinit post, here is how I would style different type of sneakers. I made all these outfits on Polyvore, you can follow my account here.
Until next time,
