Being the yearbook nerd that I was in high school, I got the amazing opportunity to travel to New York City with my yearbook staff to attend a Journalism-Yearbook convention which was held at Columbia University. I wish I could put into words how fun it was to walk the campus like a student and take yearbook classes in actual Columbia classrooms. 3 days, 60 students, 3 adults and an unbelievable amount of memories made. Enjoy the photographs of my Big Apple adventures. Being silly and adventurous in the halls of Barnard College You can’t visit New York and not see a Broadway production – of course the one we watched had Nick Jonas as the leading role in How To Succeed In a Business Without Really Trying.
Bar Pitti – an Italian restaurant in Greenwich village. He was a 58 year old waiter who seemed to be in a bad mood when we arrived, we googled translated how to say your handsome…in Italian of course! He then proceeds to fall in love with us and brought us on the house prosciutto and bread! I wanna go back one day and show him these pictures, it was the best night in New York.
We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the 9/11 memorial, and for the first time 9/11 became real for me. A man walked by and left flowers by this woman’s name, Catherine. It’s such a sad awakening when you realize, that could have been you that lost a family member. I thank Jesus everyday for those around me whom I love and adore. Remember those who put their lives on the line and pray for those who are now suffering from their lost.
I really hope you enjoyed the pictures! New York should be a bucket list item for everyone, it really is a magical place. I hope to visit again, and luckily I might be able to more often. ; ) One of my best friend’s is moving to New York to study fashion design. Shout out to Navya – who is actually leaving tomorrow – you are going to love every bit of it! Trust me, you’ll be stressed and worried, but never forget all of New York is waiting at your feet. You will be stretched and you will have the best time of your life. Can’t wait to come visit you! Hopefully I’m still blogging when you are successful so I can post about you again. Much love my dear!
