First off, meet the adorable Angie Tong (aka: http://angelinadanielle.blogspot.com/)! I’m happy to say I’ve officially found a fashion blogging friend in our small boring suburban home town. Let’s be honest, blogging isn’t the most common pastime or hobby, but I’m so glad I found someone who enjoys it just as much as I do. Ironically, we went to the same high school and never really spoke until I found her blog. So from two giggly, light heart-ed, fashion-istas – to you – we hope you enjoy our collaboration! The post below shows and explains what we carry in our school bags – Angie’s being a high school bag and my of course being a college one.
Here is our OOTD’s on Angie’s Blog – http://angelinadanielle.blogspot.com/2013/12/everyday-school-outfits-with-cheri.html
Backpack – gifted to me from some hipster town in Iran • Snacks (cheerios && apple) – because I am always hungry • Keys – because duhh • LV pouch – for hair ties, bobby pins, and sometimes pads (yes, I said pads) • Calculator – that is from 12 years ago when my brother was in high school • Headphones – so I can drowned out the noise of annoying people • 2 lip balms – because how does one live without some • Wallet – because I need money for more food • Glasses – some people think I’m blind • Pencil case – because I take notes like a good student • Binder, folders, and notebooks • Nikon DSLR – because sometimes I shoot on campus between class • Not pictured – My waterbottle which I lost duirng Finals week :/
Chéri’s favorite item: My glasses. They actually make me feel hip and sometimes even a little smarter. Funny thing is, everyone thinks they are fake. Everyone is always asking if I wear them just for looks. On the last day of my math class, someones asked me if they were even prescription, I burst out laughing…”Why would I pull out fake glasses everyday during lecture?” I thought to myself.
(clockwise) Bag (TJ maxx) I’ve used this for a whole semester and it’s already falling apart. I guess that’s what I get for $35 • Folder, notebook, Crime and Punishment, graphing calculator • Planner. I didn’t like the cover of the planner that the school provided so I took matters into my own hands and redid the cover with duct tape! My life is in this planner, I can’t go a day without it. • “Emergency bag”: oil blotting sheets, band aids, lip balm, safety pins, mini mirror, lotion, gum • iPhone, school ID, some money, sunglasses (zerouv), keys (my lanyard definitely is not real LV), pencil pouch • Waterbottle I’m always sure to have water at all times, so might as well have fun with it! I love this festive water bottle. It was a gift from my “little sister” on the dance team.
Angie’s favorite item: This is my giraffe pencil pouch. The stuffed head and limbs do take up precious space in my already heavy bag but it’s easy to find in my black hole of a bag. My dad got this pouch in Thailand when he was there for a dental conference from a non-profit organization that helps Thai children who need cleft palate surgeries.. If you look closely, the giraffe has actual braces! – Angie
A massive thank you to (drum roll please), Takuto! He was our lovely photographer for the day, he put up with our awkwardness and continuously laughing. You can check him out here: http://www.flickr.com/tak_d && http://www.tak-d.tumblr.com
